Well, we predicted it at the end of last year but now it’s official: Bow nail designs are a huge trend for 2024.

Branching off from the quiet luxury and balletcore trend, bows are being seen everywhere from clothes to hair accessories and styling and on footwear to our fingertips.

With no signs of this cute and playful movement slowing down, I’ve saved 25 of my ultimate favourite bow nail designs – whether you love long acrylics or short gels – for you to screenshot and show your nail tech.

1. Milky white, red, and pink aura with silver bow nail designs and details

A dreamy pink, red, and white aura set complete with bows, hearts, stars and constellations. Not to mention the 3D dots which are so on trend in the nail world right now.

2. Hot pink present bow nail designs with silver glitter

Pink will *always* be one of the most requested colours for nail artists and this mani with white bows and swirls is a great alternative to the typical red, green, and gold Christmas nails.

3. Nude nails with black bows and silver gems

Nude is the best base for intricate nail art and also works really well for understated designs like these chic black bows. Chanel, eat your heart out.

4. Multicoloured mismatched nails with bows

This set will fit right in over spring and summer!

5. Pink and gold aura chrome with dainty bow nail designs

Chrome and glazed finishes are still super popular in 2024, add some simple bows to nail this trend.

6. Lilac chrome square nails with 3D bows and charms

I’m a bit in love with this set! And these nails are giving serious Y2K vibes when paired with lots of rings and pastel colours. For 35 of the prettiest pastel nails EVER, take a look at our roundup here.

The cutest confetti nails with dainty white bow nail art. This mani is perfect for literally any time of year.

9. Hello Kitty press on nails with 3D bows

Another Y2K trend that I’ve been seeing everywhere is Hello Kitty, harking back to the times when bright jewellery, unicorns, cute animals, Tamagotchis, and pink reigned supreme. Ahh, simpler times.

10. Pink, red, white, and silver bows on every nail

The ultimate Valentine’s Day bow nails?

11. Miffy light pink bow nails with white and baby pink designs

Prefer Miffy to Hello Kitty? You’ll nail the cute animal nail trend with this white and baby pink mani.

Nothing says the holidays like glitter and red! For a more understated take on the bow trend, incorporate it into nail art like baubles and twinkle Christmas lights.

The takeaway

There are loads of ways to incorporate bows into your nail art, whether you love complicated character designs, super minimalist art, bright colours, or barely there pastel shades.

Mix up your manicure with mismatched designs or go all out with bows on every fingertip, whatever you decide, this is one of the cutest trends that can be worn during every season and is a great throwback to 90s and Y2K girly-core (looking at you Tammy Girl and Groovy Chick!).
