Our editorial process
Our core mission at Live That Glow is to offer unbiased, thoughtful and fact-checked (make that double fact-checked) beauty information, without judgement.
We love the internet as much as the next girl (or guy) but we also know that it’s not *always* the biggest on accuracy.
That’s why we wanted to create a safe space where you can know you’re getting the bottom line on an ingredient, technique or trend.
It’s also why we go to whatever lengths it takes to get to the heart of an issue, whether that’s interviewing 5 experts to get a consensus on the tiniest of beauty points or trawling through years’ worth of scientific studies to find you answers.
To ensure accuracy across the board, every article we publish goes through multiple stages of review, from research to interviewing experts, editing, fact-checking and, when necessary, a final check from a medical professional.
Our biggest beauty bugbear? The misconception that if it’s trending on social media, then it must be sacred. Because who put Instagram and TikTok in charge?
And whilst online tutorials certainly have their up sides, the newest product or most fashionable trend might not actually be best for you.
In fact, since it can often be hard to tell whether an influencer’s recommendation is based on facts… or followers, we only ever write about products we’ve used and loved ourselves.
We wanted to create this blend of accuracy and genuine personal perspectives so that we’d be free to answer all your beauty questions, from the most basic to the very complex, and make recommendations that are actually right for *you*, our readers.
Taking into account budget, skin type and everything else in between, we debunk the myths, champion (most of) the trends, teach the techniques and get to the bottom of the beauty issues. One article at a time.
