About Live That Glow

Here at Live That Glow, we know it can sometimes feel like you didn’t quite get the beauty memo.

Whether it was about the latest trends, techniques, ingredients, products, or brands, the world of beauty can end up feeling surprisingly mysterious if you’re not aboard the expert-level train.

But we think it’s ok if you don’t know *all* the beauty basics. And it’s normal to feel confused by conflicting information or differences in opinion on social media.

Add to that the sheer volume of new products, brands and ingredients out there and it’s no wonder it gets confusing. Because let’s face it. Most people don’t have their very own on-call dermatologist or makeup artist on speed dial to provide all the answers.

And that’s why we created Live That Glow. We bring you the lowdown on all things skin, hair, nails and makeup-related; always fact-checked, always honest and always with the focus firmly on you, our readers.

Our seriously experienced beauty journalists and industry experts are the perfect cocktail of fact-obsessed and non-judgemental. And you can rely on us to answer your burning beauty questions (what does makeup primer actually do?), bust the myths (do you *really* need to buy a separate eye cream?), and give our honest, uninfluenced take on products all in one warm, welcoming place.

Because sometimes you just want to ask what on earth retinol actually does without feeling judged (or spending hours fact-checking what you’ve just learned).

So come on in and join our community. This is your go-to safe space for all things beauty. And everyone’s welcome.

Our Editorial Team

Our editorial team is made up of journalists with a white-hot passion for beauty.

With years and years of experience secured under our beauty belts (yep, we’ve written for everyone from Marie Claire to Cosmopolitan and Glamour to Allure), we’re proud of our journalistic integrity, authenticity when recommending products, and enthusiasm for leaving no stone unturned.

Yet we’re still that girl who accidentally tips her makeup bag upside down on public transport. Or clumsily drops hair oil on her shirt five minutes before leaving the house (hey, we’re only human…).

We love bringing our own experiences to the table too. *writes article entitled ‘how to get hair oil off your shirt’*. And we’re proud to share our genuine perspective on our beauty experiences.

Editorial proces

Our core mission at Live That Glow is to offer highly accurate, thoughtful and fact-checked (make that double fact-checked) beauty information, without judgement.

We love the internet as much as the next girl (or guy) but we also know that it’s not *always* the biggest on accuracy.

That’s why we wanted to create a safe space where you can know you’re getting the bottom line on an ingredient, technique or trend.

It’s also why we go to whatever lengths it takes to get to the heart of an issue, whether that’s interviewing 5 experts to get a consensus on the tiniest of beauty points or trawling through years’ worth of scientific studies to find you answers.

To ensure accuracy across the board, every article we publish goes through multiple stages of review, from research to interviewing experts, editing, fact-checking and, when necessary, a final check from a medical professional.

Our biggest beauty bugbear? The misconception that if it’s trending on social media, then it must be sacred. Because who put Instagram and TikTok in charge?

And whilst online tutorials certainly have their up sides, the newest product or most fashionable trend might not actually be best for you.

In fact, since it can often be hard to tell whether an influencer’s recommendation is based on facts… or followers, we only ever write about products we’ve used and loved ourselves.

We wanted to create this blend of accuracy and genuine personal perspectives so that we’d be free to answer all your beauty questions, from the most basic to the very complex, and make recommendations that are actually right for *you*, our readers.

Taking into account budget, skin type and everything else in between, we debunk the myths, champion (most of) the trends, teach the techniques and get to the bottom of the beauty issues. One article at a time.
