17 of Our Favourite English Beauty Picks Worth Cheering On This Summer

I don’t know about you, but between Arthur Fery’s remarkable Wimbledon run and England’s World Cup campaign, I can’t remember the last time the sporting calendar felt quite this exciting.
If this week’s sporting spirit has swept you up too, there’s actually a psychological reason why. “Rallying around a shared purpose meets a basic human need of belonging and our sense of belonging can influence how we view ourselves and our environment, creating a more positive perspective,” explains Dr Patricia S. Dixon, licensed clinical psychologist.

And communication and human behaviour expert Dr Lillian Glass confirms our current summer of sport could actually be good for us, “Shared experiences create a sense of connection and community, which are essential for emotional well-being.”
So, as we enjoy our happy sporting bubble, how about we embrace all things England with our beauty products too?
Keep scrolling for our round up of the best English beauty picks that will get you in the mood to celebrate this nail-biting weekend.
Good for the soul scents
Whether you’re heading to Centre Court to watch a set live, or simply heading to the pub to cheer on the boys this Saturday, the right scent can set the tone.
And with their creative studio nestled in a Georgian townhouse in the heart of London, few fragrance brands capture the charm of all things English quite like Jo Malone.

The brand’s Wild Bluebell line smells like an uplifting cottage garden with notes of lily of the valley and sweet bluebells. Our favourite? The Wild Bluebell Hand Cream (£24 from Jo Malone London UK / $30 from Jo Malone London US), which is perfect for popping in your bag for nourished hands while you top up your scent throughout the day.

Image – Miller Harris
London-based perfume brand Akro has also smashed it (pun intended) with their Rise Eau De Parfum (£160 for 100ml from Harvey Nichols UK / $160 from Akro US), which will remind you of summer nights abroad thanks to notes of coconut water, pineapple and sandalwood. Meanwhile, fellow London-based brand Miller Harris evokes misty English summery mornings with their Secret Gardenia (£140 for 100 ml from Miller Harris UK /$200 from Miller Harris US).
Hosting your own match day get-together at home this weekend? Our favourite picks have got you covered. Quintessentially English wellness brand NEOM is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and their limited edition Squeeze The Day Reed Diffuser (£55 from NEOM Wellbeing UK /$64 from NEOM Wellbeing US) is both beautiful and, most importantly, will fill your home with hits of refreshing grapefruit, mandarin and eucalyptus for a big energy boost until the final whistle.

Image – LORDS Fragrance House
Meanwhile, founded in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, LORDS Fragrance House has been hand making exquisitely delicate candles and diffusers since 2020. Their beautifully citrusy Positano Candle (£45.50 from LORDS Fragrance House UK) instantly brings a little Mediterranean sunshine to your living room – whatever the scoreline.
Skin-loving sunscreens
While nothing says ‘English summer’ like watching the football at your local beer garden, sadly nothing says sunburn faster than forgetting to top up your SPF. Luckily, some of our favourite English brands are on hand with skin-friendly sunscreens that you’ll actually look forward to reapplying.
For an SPF that smells incredible (er, a little like chocolate to be exact…) British brand Tropic Skincare’s Great Barrier Sun Lotion (£28 from Tropic Skincare UK) is super moisturising, it will replace your regular body lotion and the huge tube will last forever.

Image – Cosmetics à la Carte
Meanwhile, Chelsea-based Cosmetics a la Carte’s The Bright Side Invisible SPF 50 (£45 from Cosmetics a la Carte UK /$52 from Cosmetics a la Carte US) is a broad-spectrum SPF which feels lightweight despite also doubling up as a primer.

Image – Curated Beauty London
And finally, all-female-owned brand Curated Beauty London has just launched its first mineral SPF, Flawless Defence SPF50 & Primer (£45 from Curated Beauty London UK). It isn’t sticky, doesn’t leave white cast and is ideal for helping to protect sensitive skin even if you’re courtside in full sun.
English body care treats
Hugely trending at the moment, body care brand Joonbyrd was founded in London in 2024 by dual UK/US dermatologist, Dr Alexis Granite.

Featuring fabulously jewel-like packaging, Joonbyrd aims to marry good-for-skin formulas with a sensorial experience. Our favourite is their Moon Swim Hydrating Body Wash (£38 for 350ml from Space NK UK / $48 for 350ml from Joonbyrd US), which doesn’t strip skin and has a gorgeous, warm scent.
Classic English spa brand The Sanctuary has been going strong since the opening of their flagship spa in Covent Garden in 1977. Their refreshing Aqua Serenity Body Scrub and Butter Bundle (£19.50 from Boots UK) both smell amazing – fresh and uplifting – and the price is impressively affordable too.
And finally one of our favourite English brands, Q+A Skincare, was born in Norfolk, with all their 98% natural products made themselves in the UK. Their Ceramide Body Lotion (£10.50 from Q+A UK) both smells divine and is hydrating without being too heavy. Your skin will thank you for the pretty sheen this body lotion delivers too.
Mood boosting makeup
With its headquarters in Wargrave, Berkshire, makeup brand Delilah has nailed English rose chic.

Their In Bloom Radiant Liquid Blush (£24 from Delilah UK / $33 from Delilah US) immediately peps up our skin with a gorgeous, dewy flush that lasts for ages whenever we reach for it. Meanwhile it doesn’t feel waxy of heavy, even when the heat truly is heating. It’s no wonder it was a finalist in this year’s Live That Glow Independent Beauty Awards.
When Manchester-born influencer-turned-entrepreneur Mitchell Halliday first launched his now iconic Curve Case (£30 from Made By Mitchell UK / $41 from Made By Mitchell US) in 2024, I immediately fell in love. With eight shades to choose from that give a glowy finish, this is one of the products that I find myself reaching for almost as often as my long-time favourite Chanel cream bronzer.

Image – Victoria Beckham Beauty
And finally, what about one of England’s most famous beauty exports (who arguably forms one half of England’s most famous football family), Victoria Beckham, with her exceptionally good Posh Lip (£37 from Victoria Beckham Beauty UK / $39 from Victoria Beckham Beauty US)? Luxe enough to show off at Wimbledon, durable enough to last through the stress of a world cup England match.
Homegrown hair care
And last but not least, our favourite English brands have also got you covered for all those post-match-short-on-time hair days too.
Consider London-based brand REHAB for all your summer hair needs, including their Sunshine Spritz UV Protection Hair Oil (£26 from REHAB UK / $36 from REHAB US) which smells gorgeously summery (thank you, coconut) and protects your scalp and hair colour through the hotter months.

Image – Silke London
Also, fellow Londoner Silke London’s Heatless Curler (£45 from Silke London UK / $60 from Silke London US) allows you to style hair without the heat damage.
And finally, SEVIN London’s Natural Face, Body and Hair Oil (£40 from SEVIN London UK / $55 from SEVIN London US) is a real treat for hair while you sleep (and it smells divine too).
The takeaway
If this week’s sporting excitement has left you wanting to celebrate the best of England in other ways too, these brands are a brilliant place to start. From fragrance and skincare to makeup and haircare, they’re proof that homegrown beauty has plenty to shout about this summer.
So, in the words of Dr Glass, “Put down your phone, join the crowd, sing the National Anthem with pride, celebrate with others, and allow yourself to experience the joy of being part of something bigger than yourself.”
