A review of Wander Beauty's On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator

The Perfect Travel Makeup for Beauty on the Go?

Although I don’t wear always wear makeup every day, when I do it’s cream formulas I instinctively reach for.

Dewy, easy to apply (perfect for my ten-second-or-nothing approach to makeup application) and generally kind to dry skin, cream foundations, blushers and highlighters are some of my favourite products.

I’m also a huge fan of anything that saves space in my makeup bag/drawer so I was interested by Wander Beauty’s On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator in Coral Rose-Nude Glow, a double-ended blush and highlight product in one.

The stick-style applicator makes this particularly useful for sweeping across collarbones, cheeks, foreheads, and noses in a hurry. And both products are paraben, mineral oil, phthalates, fragrance and cruelty-free.

True to its name, the Coral Rose blush is just that- a peachy rose colour that both works well in the sun and is neutral enough to suit most skin tones. Containing mineral pigments, squalane (highly hydrating), and vitamins A, C, and E (for antioxidant protection), this is also gentle on skin that has had a long day trotting about in the sun.

Similarly, the Nude Glow highlighter also provides skin-nourishing benefits as well as a subtle champagne-coloured sheen devoid of any large chunks of glitter.

Wander Beauty also suggests using this as an eye shadow, and it definitely offers a subtle golden glow on the lids too.

The Takeaway

I like the ingredients here, as well as the subtly, dewy finish.  You also get quite a lot of product for your money here compared to other cream products, making this reasonable value for anyone who would use these shades every day.

Great for: Those who like their makeup quick and easy to apply.

Not-so-great for: The wallet, but possibly cheaper than buying a separate blusher and highlighter.
