Dr Sonia Khorana is a GP with a special interest in dermatology and Live That Glow’s own skincare agony aunt. She is passionate about helping people feel confident in their own skin. In this month’s article, she advises whether you need to skin cycle if you already have a skincare routine that is working for your skin and skin type.

Should I be skin cycling even if my current skincare routine is working for my skin?

Dr Sonia says:

Skin cycling has gained a lot of attention recently but whether everyone should be doing skin cycling even if their current skincare routine is working depends on individual skin needs and goals.

If you feel that your current routine is working but you’d like to add more potent actives (like retinol or chemical exfoliants), skin cycling can be a gentler way to incorporate these without overwhelming your skin. If you already have these ingredients in your routine, then you shouldn’t really bother with skin cycling.
