For anyone who doesn’t already know Gisou– the brainchild of Instagrammer, beekeeper (and owner of some of the healthiest looking hair we’ve ever seen) Negin Mirsalehi- is one of the biggest beauty successes of the last few years thanks to its honey-infused formulas.

Their biggest breakout product?  Gisou’s Honey Infused Lip Oil, a gloss/balm/oil blend that adds shine and hydration.

And now this viral classic has company, in the form of three colourful new shades, Strawberry Sorbet, Watermelon Sugar, and Mango Passion Punch, each with its own fruity scent to match.

Gisou explained, “In honour of Gisou community requests and to celebrate bee season, we’ve created the glossiest, juiciest, fruitiest tinted lip oils powered by Mirsalehi Honey.

The formula

Boasting the same hyaluronic acid and Mirsalehi honey that makes the original lip oil so hydrating, the new shades also contain jojoba and meadowfoam seed oil are made from 97% natural ingredients.

For anyone who hasn’t tried the original oil, its thick, slightly sticky texture feels slightly more like a gloss than an oil on the skin but has impressive staying power as a result, leaving hydration in its wake for up to a couple of hours.

The new formula promises an even more powerful hit of hydration and longer wear times thanks to the additional moisture.

The shades

The shades themselves where actually chosen by Gisou’s army of online fans after the brand took to Instagram and TikTok in 2023 to find out exactly how they could improve the existing lip oil formula.

The answer, the brand says, was fruit-inspired line of scents and colours.  Here’s more on each of the shades.

  • Strawberry Sorbet

Is a strawberry pink shade with a subtle shimmer.  Although a bright pink in the tube, on the skin this has a warmer berry look to it.

  • Watermelon Sugar

An icy baby pink with a high shimmer payoff in the tube, Watermelon Sugar applies as a classic nude gloss (albeit a very sparkly one). Definitely one for those who prefer their gloss with a heavy side of glitter.

  • Mango Passion Punch

Probably the shade with the biggest colour payoff, Mango Passion Punch is a bright tangerine that leaves a wash of shimmery coral.

Where you can buy them

Gisou’s Honey Infused Lip Oils are available to buy from gisou.com at £24 per oil in the UK and $28 per oil in the US.
