Reviewing Fenty`s Cult Mattemoiselle Lipstick
Main Image – Live That Glow
I’m normally quite the gloss fan (mainly because it takes approximately 0.5 seconds to apply and I’m really lazy when it comes to makeup). But when I do go for lipstick I tend to go matte.
And yes there are lots of highly-pigmented and long-lasting lip sticks out there. But rarely do they come in such chic packaging as Fenty Beauty’s Mattemoiselle Plush Matte.
Stunningly embossed and housed in some seriously chic minimalist packaging, this is one lip product you’ll want to admire for a few days before actually using.
While Fenty is normally known for its impressive shade ranges, this 14 strong colour lineup isn’t exactly huge.
But between the year round shades like UP 2 NO GOOD (pictured here) and seasonal limited editions, there’s pretty much something for everyone.
The colour payoff is impressive, though, and the results last well (even through all the snacking/water drinking/lip biting I can get through in a day).
Meanwhile cruelty-free and clean beauty fans will enjoy the lack of parabens, phthalates and sulphates, as well as total lack of animal testing, and pretty much everyone can enjoy the quality formula and packaging that comes in at almost half the price of some of its luxury brand counterparts.
Great for: Best for fans of a matte lip look, while those normally who avoid matte formulas for fear of drying out lips will enjoy the addition of passionflower seed oil and carnauba wax to nourish.
Not-so-great for: Budget beauty fans. While this lipstick is quite a bit cheaper than some of its luxury counterparts, it’s still pretty pricey.
Fenty Beauty’s Mattemoiselle Plush Matte is £16 for 1.7 g, Boots UK and $18 for 0.06 oz/ 1.7 g, Sephora US
